The Children's Education Centre
The Children's Education Centre is an educational publisher at thechildrenseducationcentre.com, selling digital educational resources including spelling workbooks and audiobooks for children aged 5–11, and providing GCSE Maths tutoring support for students aged 14–16.
When you make a purchase, our payment processor (Payhip) collects your name, email address, and payment details. We receive your name and email so we can deliver your order and respond to queries.
If you register interest in our GCSE Programme, we collect the information you provide including your name, email, phone number, and details about your child's educational needs.
Booking a free consultation, applying to the GCSE Programme, or enrolling collects your name, email, phone number, your child's year group and current/target grade, and any notes you give us about your child's needs, so we can arrange a discovery call, recommend the right tier, and set up your child's programme. Enrolling also collects your agreement to our Terms of Use, recorded with a timestamp and your typed signature.
If your child is already enrolled, renewing their programme through a personal renewal link (sent to you by email, unique to your child) collects the same kind of student and parent details, plus the programme tier you choose for the new term.
Once enrolled, your child and you get a login to our Learning Portal. This holds homework set and submitted, session attendance, progress and diagnostic assessment results, messages between your child, their tutor, and you, and account details such as your child's learning style and a personalised "buddy character" they choose. We use AI tools (Anthropic's Claude) to help generate personalised homework, mark practice work, and power an in-portal tutoring assistant, always with a member of our team overseeing the programme, never to make decisions about your child unsupervised.
GCSE Programme payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details, Stripe processes them securely and gives us confirmation of payment, the amount, and a customer reference so we can keep your account up to date. Spelling Series purchases are handled the same way by Payhip, as described above.
